Speedway: Jonasson flies off to Robins
EDINBURGH Monarchs Swede Thomas Jonasson has been transferred to Elite League speedway side Swindon Robins.
Swindon have never made any secret of their interest in Jonasson who has been on their radar for a number of weeks.
Jonasson, who said he has enjoyed his season and a half spell with Monarchs, added: "The problem is the number of fixtures Edinburgh have in the Premier League.
"For financial reasons I must ride in Poland and I'm not well enough organised to ride the number of fixtures Edinburgh have.
"So I have agreed to ride for Swindon only in the UK, but I love Edinburgh and hope to ride for Monarchs again one day."
