TwICE European Under-23 judo champion Sarah Adlington (Edinburgh Club) will make her first competitive appearance for over a year following injury when the British Championships continue tomorrow in Crawley.

Adlington, who competes in the +98kg category, is part of a ten-strong Edinburgh Club contingent which also includes Patrick Dawson and Connie Ramsay who look to build on recent successes in South America. Also taking part is Sam Ingram, the V1 paralympic silver medallist. Lighter weight categories get underway today.

Edinburgh Club line-up: Connie Ramsay (-57kg), Jodie Mullen (-63kg), Sarah Adlington (+78kg), Graham Trinder (60kg), Alex Wallace (-66kg), Nicholas Thwaits (-73kg), Jack Smith (-73kg), Patrick Dawson (-73kg), Reece Calder (-90kg), Sam Ingram (-90kg).

• Edinburgh judoka star Sally Conway, pictured, earned a place in the World Masters in Russia later this month after battling to a bronze at the Baku grand slam event in Azerbaijan. For Conway success was the perfect tonic after a disappointing European Championship and confidence is now restored.
