Grange and Edinburgh Sports Club have qualified for tomorrow’s National Squash League final play-offs at Bridge of Allan.
Since being formed in 1976, Grange have never reached this stage and, while drawing their Capital rivals in the semi-finals could be daunting, they are spearheaded by Kevin Moran, who is unbeaten in all 14 matches on the way through.
With Dougie Kempsell on international duty with Scotland at the World Championships in France, the Portgower Place club will pick from Allan Hamer, Peter Cockbnurn, Gordon Sloan and Will Kerr along with women players Aoife Kerring, Donna Cruickshank, Georgina Jamieson, Catherine Jon and Karen Kennedy.
Sports Club are led by Simon Boughton, the national over-40s champion and also feature Ross McHoul. South African Jacques Lass and Senga Macfie, the current Scottish champion and international regular for two decades.
