McLeish confirms approach for Ferguson
Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has confirmed he has made an enquiry about Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson.
The former Ibrox boss had Ferguson as his skipper during his time in Govan and remains an admirer.
But the Birmingham boss, who will look to add to his squad for next season's foray in to the Barclays Premier League, was keen to stress that nothing had been decided yet.
"I haven't made a move for Barry but I have enquired about him," McLeish said.
"He is one of a number of players I'm interested in.
"I'm on holiday right now but I'm still working away at some things."
Ferguson, 31, was linked with West Brom before Tony Mowbray left to join Celtic.
