McKay leads way after record
SCOTLAND'S Mhairi McKay led a spree of low scoring with a course record eight-under-par 63 and was a stroke clear of the field after the first round of the Michelob ULTRA Open at the Kingsmill Resort in Virginia.
Glasgow's Janice Moodie was tied for sixth after a six birdie 66, while North Berwick's Catriona Matthew joined in the sub-par scoring and shot 69 – but that was just good enough for joint 35th.
Former world No.1 Annika Sorenstam and South Korea's Sun Young Yoo shared second place on 64, with current world No.1 Lorena Ochoa in joint fourth on 65.
