McIntyre warns Anderson of a more 'professional' approach

KEVIN Anderson, the former British welterweight champion from Fife, has been warned to expect an even tougher 12 rounds than the ones he was forced to endure when allowing his crown to slip against Kevin McIntyre last November.

Anderson's painful defeat at Irvine's Magnum Centre, by virtue of an overwhelming points verdict in favour of the challenger from Paisley, came as a surprise. However, McIntyre wants to prove his success was not a fluke when the pair fight again at the Kelvin Hall on 29 February.

But, after turning professional with the help of sponsorship from the Royal Mail's Communications Workers Union, the former postman, 29, has been able to focus on boxing. "This is the first time I have felt like a proper professional boxer not having to worry about fitting in my training around delivering the mail," McIntyre said.
