Maxwell wins boys' merit prize
CRAIGIELAW'S Douglas Maxwell staged a storming finish to win the 2008 DM Hall Lothians Boys' Order of Merit.
Maxwell won the rescheduled event at Swanston to catapult himself into contention before taking over top spot by finishing runner-up in the final counting event at the Merchants.
Leading final positions: 1. D Maxwell (Craigielaw) 384pts; 2. C Low (North Berwick) 379; 3. B Pelling (Prestonfield) 370; 4. S Young (Turnhouse) 338; 5. J Macintosh (Broomieknowe) 327; 6. G Smail (Craigielaw) 243.
