Bad weather boost for summer hols

DISMAL spring weather has prompted a rush of overseas holiday bookings.

With rainy April set to be one of the coldest on record, Virgin Atlantic said its bookings had soared by 37 per cent compared with this time last year.

Bookings for Jubilee week are also significantly up.
