Marc my words, Buddies will bounce back against Celtic
MARC CROSAS believes St Mirren will be spurred on by last weekend's 7-0 thrashing at Celtic when the two clubs meet again in the Homecoming Scottish Cup at lunchtime tomorrow.
Spanish midfielder Crosas scored his first goal for the Hoops since arriving from Barcelona last summer as the champions dismantled their opponents at Parkhead.
The venue is reversed for tomorrow but Gordon Strachan's side are strong favourites to dismiss the Paisley side at St Mirren Park.
However, Crosas, 21, warned against complacency within the Hoops ranks.
"The result on Saturday will not matter when we meet again this week," he said. "The game ended with a good victory for Celtic but that only makes things harder when we go to St Mirren's ground.
"The St Mirren players will be looking to make up for that defeat. They will make things difficult for us, because they won't want to accept that loss. They will be out to change things."
Many Celtic fans will have one eye on the following week when the Parkhead side play Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Co-operative Insurance Cup final.
Crosas is relishing his first showpiece occasion for the Hoops but is reluctant to look too far ahead. He said: "It will be an important game for the players and the fans, but I think it's only right that we focus on the other games first. That has to be the priority."
