MacGregor quits as Ross County chairman
ROY MacGregor yesterday quit as Ross County chairman after almost 15 years – but is vowing to keep backing the club financially.
The energy industry entrepreneur will step into the honorary role of club president with businessman David Siegel taking over the prime responsibilities.
MacGregor, the architect of County's rise through the ranks from humble Highland League roots, has ploughed many millions of his own cash into the club.
But the 55-year-old boss of the internationally-successful Global group of companies warned recently he was actively seeking to step aside to concentrate on his rapidly-expanding business interests.
