Livingston must roar back in Alloa clash
LIVINGSTON manager Gary Bollan will hope the Lions can lift themselves after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Brechin on Tuesday, which saw their lead in the Second Division cut to eight points.
The rigours of games on Saturday and Tuesday have certainly put increased demands on the squad and they have another this Tuesday at home to Forfar.
Alloa are the visitors to the Braidwood Motor Company stadium tomorrow, having ended a terrible run of five straight defeats with a 2-0 win at Airdrie last Saturday.
Jim McArthur, Livi's chief scout, is in no doubt that Bollan's mix of young and experienced players have what it takes to claim the title and he has backed chairman Gordon McDougall and chief executive Ged Nixon to clinch promotion. "There is no doubt that Gordon and Ged have this club geared up to get us back into the First Division, from where we should never have been demoted," he said.
The Wasps recorded a 3-3 draw at Livingston in the first league game of the season back in August. It was a tough Second Division baptism for the Lions with Cameron MacDonald fracturing his eye socket which left him out for months.
