Livingston 2 - 0 Albion Rovers: Revenge sweet as Livingston stretch lead
LIVINGSTON increased their lead at the top of the Third Division to five points as they won for the fifth time in six games, and, at the same time, gained revenge on an Albion Rovers side who have already defeated them twice this season.
Gary Bollan's men got off to a flier as they took the lead after only five minutes when Jason Talbot rose highest to nod home a David Sinclair corner.
The home side survived a scare a minute later when Marc Pollock tangled with Roddy McKenzie. However, referee Frank McDermott waved away appeals for a penalty.
The second half was a slog on the sodden turf with Livingston coming close to adding to their lead when Robbie Winters smacked a shot wide before the Jacobs' brothers combined to seal the win with five minutes left. Substitute Kyle crossed for elder sibling Keaghan and he skipped past Alan Benton before picking his spot behind Gaston from ten yards.
