Livi urged to bounce back with cup win
LIVINGSTON goalkeeper Roddy McKenzie today urged his team-mates to forget Saturday's first home defeat of the season and claim their place in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
McKenzie was beaten two minutes into added time by Stephen Tulloch as Forfar defeated the Lions 2-1 at Almondvale.
The visitors had taken the lead after just 90 seconds through Graham Gibson.
That goal had been cancelled out on 22 minutes by an exquisite goal from Livi's Andrew Halliday, who fired home from 25 yards for his seventh strike of the season.
Livi and Clyde will tonight try for the fifth time to get a result in their third-round tie after one drawn match, a postponement and two abandoned games. And McKenzie said: "We played decently in the two games that were abandoned and we were leading, so it was disappointing neither match finished. The weather is cold but the pitch was fine on Saturday and we want to get back on track with a win now. The covers are on and the groundsman says it should be okay."
The opposing players know each other's games inside out and McKenzie joked: "Somebody said to me we are going to be swapping Christmas cards."
Gary Bollan, the Livingston manager, said: "We will bounce back and the guys are all in contention again to face Clyde."
