Lions don't rest on laurels
Second DIVISION champions Livingston dented Airdrie's play-off hopes with a 4-2 win at New Broomfield.
Ian Russell headed home his first goal after five minutes from Callum Fordyce's cross. His second came two minutes later when he fired into the bottom corner from outside the area.
Paul Lovering pulled one back for United 13 minutes before half-time and they equalised on 55 minutes, Jamie Stevenson crossing for Owens to slot home.
But Raffaele De Vita's close-range shot restored the away side's lead within six minutes and Marc McNulty secured the victory from long range ten minutes from time.
