Lines to make most of rivals' absence
DAVID LINES (Pedal Power) will bid to capitalise on the absence of his closest rivals when round five of the Cycling Scotland Ingliston Criterium Series takes place tomorrow.
Lines holds top spot ahead of his team mates Kevin Barclay and Scott MacRae, who will be on duty south of the border this weekend. The programme features three races, with the open event for higher category and novice riders at 1.00pm, followed by a women's race an hour later and the elite competition at 3.00pm.
Maddy Robinson (Edinburgh RC) has a comfortable lead at the top of the table and could seal the overall win if results go her way.
Meanwhile, Barclay and MacRae will be in action at the Lincoln Grand Prix on Sunday as part of a five-man squad from the West Lothian outfit that includes Gary Hand while Claire Thomas (Edinburgh RC) travels to Bristol to contest the Olveston Women's Road Race on Sunday.
