Lennon’s family are touched by tributes
THE family of Dumbarton captain Gordon Lennon, who died in an accident last Sunday, have thanked the football world for messages of support.
A statement issued via the club website said: “All the family wish to thank everyone for your overwhelming response to the tragic news.
“The tributes, and in particular those left at Strathclyde Homes Stadium, have been a great comfort as is knowing how popular Gordon was and how he impacted on other people’s lives.”
The funeral will be held next Wednesday at 11am at Hillington Park Church, Cardonald followed by a burial at Hawkhead Cemetery, Paisley.
