Laszlo adds Cardiff striker Feeney to his wish list
HEARTS have entered the race to sign Warren Feeney after his proposed move to Leeds United collapsed.
The Northern Ireland international striker, 28, has held contract negotiations with United – where he started his career as a trainee – but they have broken down.
The League One side have not given a reason why the deal for the Cardiff City forward has stalled, but it is thought Hearts are now tracking the player, who was on loan at SPL rivals Dundee United last term.
Leeds manager Simon Grayson said: "I spoke to a lot of players and he was one of them, but as it stands he will not be a Leeds United player."
Feeney, who has won 31 caps, has also been linked with Charlton Athletic, Norwich City, Huddersfield and Grimsby, but Tynecastle manager Csaba Laszlo could now land him.
Hearts struggled in attack last term and need new striking options to aid the likes of Christian Nade and Calum Elliot.
