Joe Hamill boost for Livingston boss Bollan in Alloa clash
Livingston coach Gary Bollan could recall former Hearts player Joe Hamill for the Boxing Day trip to face Alloa.
The midfielder is back with the Lions after his loan to Swedish outfit Ostersunds FK came to an end.
Hamill joined that club, coached by former Hearts and Livingston team-mate Lee Makel, at the beginning of the season but the pair could not save Ostersunds from relegation from the third tier of Swedish football, resulting in Makel losing his position last week.
The Lions have not played a competitive fixture since losing at Elgin 2-1 in the Scottish Cup on November 20, however, some of the first-team squad played in a 3-0 victory over Spartans Juniors last Saturday, following the cancellation of the Second Division match at Stenhousemuir.
All other Second Division games have been called off but Alloa are confident the game will go ahead on their artificial turf although there will be an inspection on Sunday and manager Alan Maitland has fired up his team after a 3-2 defeat to Airdrie last week.
Maitland said: "There is absolutely no excuse for last week and I was absolutely livid. The idea that we are going to win the league now is completely blown."
