Jim Weir seeks a way to revive tired Brechin

Brechin City players and their Glebe Park pitch are both in a tired state ahead of the visit of East Fife following their Scottish Cup tie in the mud against St Johnstone at the weekend that ended 2-2.

Brechin manager Jim Weir is hoping that the excitement generated will lift some tired limbs, although Gerry McLauchlan, Kevin Byers and Jamie Redman are expected to miss out along with the long-term injured Charlie King. On-loan Aberdeen striker Mitchel Megginson and on-loan Hamilton Accies front-man Jordan Kilpatrick will return.

East Fife manager John Robertson again looks set to be without Steven Campbell, Robert Sloan, Jim Hamilton and Ryan Wallace through injury with on-loan Oakley youngster Kerr Newbigging included in the squad a second time.

Forfar entertain Stenhousemuir at Station Park for the first time this season with home side looking to move on from Saturday's disappointing 3-0 reverse at East Fife. Jamie Bishop, however, is automatically banned after his sending-off

Defenders Scott Gibb and Scott Fusco remain doubts for Stenhousemuir along with striker Scott Dalziel.

Livingston can pull 19 points clear in the race for the title by seeing off third placed Ayr United, who really must win to retain even the faintest hope of catching the leaders.

Defender Cameron MacDonald remains out with a knee injury for Livingston, but midfielder Keigan Parker looks set to be included in the home squad.
