Ireland 41, Fiji 6
JONATHAN Sexton contributed 16 points as he made a highly impressive start to his international career to guide Ireland to a comfortable victory over Fiji in Dublin.
The Leinster fly-half landed five conversions, three from the touchline, and two penalties on his Test debut.
Left-wing Keith Earls contributed two of the five tries with the others coming from skipper Brian O'Driscoll, Rob Kearney and Shane Horgan.
Fiji had fly-half Nicky Little to thank for a couple of penalties for getting them on the scoreboard.
The gloss was taken off Ireland's win, however, when flanker Denis Leamy had to retire with what seemed to be a serious leg injury.
