Inverness boss Butcher warns of Kilmarnock's new lethal strike threat

TERRY BUTCHER believes stopping the fledgling partnership of Kevin Kyle and David Fernandez could be the key to his Inverness side beating Kilmarnock in the fifth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup tomorrow.

He said: "We know all about got big Kevin Kyle up front and David Fernandez.

"They have shown how well they can work together and they could be quite a lethal striking combination."

Opposite number Jim Jefferies admits being drawn away from home could be a blessing in disguise.

Killie are on a run of five unbeaten games away from Rugby Park but have lost eight of their last ten matches at home.

However, they are the only side to lose a league game at Inverness this season.

Jefferies said: "Maybe this season is just one of those where we struggle at home and play better away, so maybe that will help us. But we didn't do well away from home up there after a great start."
