Ice Hockey: Zembergs joins Capitals
Latvian forward Marcis Zembergs is the latest addition of Edinburgh Capitals line-up for next season.
The winger spent last season playing for Prizma Riga, HK Ozolnieki/Monarhs and SK Saga in the Latvia and Latvia 2 leagues.
Zembergs scored 35 goals in 85 games last season and said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to play in this league. I just hope I can help Capitals make the play-offs."
Scott Neil, Capitals' general manager, said: "Marcis played for the Latvian under-20 team. He is noted for his hard work and goal-scoring ability and is determined to make his mark with Capitals."
