Ice Hockey: Capitals to honour long-serving Cingel

MARTIN CINGEL'S contribution to Edinburgh Capitals will be celebrated at a dinner/dance next week.

The event on Friday, April 15 (7.30pm-12.30pm) takes place in the Riversdale Suite at Murrayfield Ice Rink. Slovakian-born Cingel has played nine seasons for the club.

The 35-year-old, who skippered the club last season, said: "I'm looking forward to a fun night. Thanks to everybody for putting this event on for me."

A Capitals spokesman said: "The evening will celebrate the outstanding contribution that Martin has made to Edinburgh ice hockey."

Tickets are available online at 30 per person which will include a two-course meal, speakers and a disco.
