Hunter falls prey to Anderson at Kinross
HEATHER Anderson was in sparkling form over the Montgomery course at Kinross to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish senior women’s closed amateur golf championship.
The former Downfield and now Alyth player reached the match-play stages as the last of the 16 qualifiers after toppling the No 1 seed Fiona Hunter from Baberton with ease, beating her by 7 and 5.
Anderson then beat former Curtis Cup player and one time world junior champion Suzanne Cadden by 3 and 2. She will play fourth seed Alex Glennie for a place in the final.
