Hughes, Higdon face SFA panel

FALKIRK manager John Hughes and striker Michael Higdon could face punishment from the SFA today when their cases are heard at Hampden for criticism of referee Iain Brines. Both made public outbursts after a 3-0 defeat at Celtic on 23 August.

Hughes, who was angry that Brines failed to spot Stephen McManus had used an arm for the opening goal, accused Brines of conducting a "witch-hunt" against him, while Higdon accused Brines of being "a Celtic fan" at the post-match media conference.
