Fanning has high hopes of extending winning tally at Hamilton
JOE Fanning, the first Flat jockey to reach 100 winners in 2012, is looking forward to some decent rides at Hamilton Park this afternoon and expects Hamis Al Bin to run well in the McGhee’s Teaz Handicap.
He said: “He won nicely at Wolverhampton and then was disappointing at Kempton in the follow. He’s had a little time off since then but is bouncing at home now.”
Fanning’s first mount on the card is Steer By The Stars in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes and he added: “She’s a nice filly and her first two runs were very good but she didn’t seem to get home at Leicester last time.
“If she was back to her best she could go close.”
Fanning also rides Saslong in the Follow @HamiltonParkrc on Twitter Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
He said: “He’s a nice horse and was third at Southwell on his only run as a two-year-old. He tired on the ground at Ripon first time this season and he is better than that run.”
Always Ends Well is Fanning’s final mount in the Well Saints & Sinners Racenight Next Week Handicap.
“You get what you see with her as she’s only a little filly but she was a decent second a couple of runs ago at Lingfield and has run well at Hamilton before,” he added.
