BADMINTON: Jack Riddell and Sarah Sidebottom made it a home success in the Glasgow School of Sport Under-13 Championships at Bellahouston at the weekend.

In the finals, Jack defeated classmate Lloyd Holland 20-22 21-15 21-10, while Sarah overcame Dundee’s Lauren Middleton 21-14 21-12.

In the under-11 boys’ final, Callum Smith (Duns Primary) defeated Calum Flockhart (Cleish Primary) 15-12 15-8.

The girls’ event was a round-robin and Alice Campbell (Jordanhill Primary) took the title ahead of Erin Waddell (Carolside Primary).
