UNDER-STRENGTH Inverleith went down 3-0 to Grove Menzieshill in the semi-finals of the Arthur McKay Scottish Cup at Peffermill.

Paul Martin’s shot found the net after ten minutes and Olly James slipped the ball over the goalkeeper for the second. The tie was effectively over a minute into the second half when Ally Irvine tapped in.

Grove will play Glynhill Kelburne in the final on 25 May after the holders beat Western Wildcats 9-0 in the other semi. The Paisley side romped into a four-goal half-time lead with Lee Morton, Jonny Christie, Scott Sutherland and Alan Forsyth on target. In the second half, Sutherland and Forsyth both got their second goals and further strikes came from Willie Marshall, Ross McIntrye and Ed Greaves.

Grove retained the women’s Aberdeen Asset Management First Division title after drawing 1-1 with Milne Craig Western at Titwood. Ali Bell put the Taysiders one up but Holly Cram equalised within five minutes with a powerful shot.
