Hockey: Sisters doing it for Grange

IT'S a real sister act for hockey's in-form Grange Edinburgh Ladies with Laurie and Lynsey Allan the club's vice-captains, writes NIGEL DUNCAN.

The duo are gearing up for the club's biggest test so far this season against Giffnock.

It's the final game before the winter shutdown and the winners will claim a coveted slot in the top six of Division One for the second half of the season.

Grange are now on nine points, the same as Giffnock, and Laurie Allan said: "We are currently placed seventh in the league.

"Our objective for the season was to make top six so this game gives us the opportunity to achieve our goal.

Other games tomorrow include a derby between Edinburgh University and CALA Edinburgh.
