Iain Blake, Dunbar: "It was a really poor performance from Hearts. Obviously, we got off to the worst possible start with the loss of the goal in the first minute and it was such a bad goal to lose. We were caught napping by the short corner, but even when the ball came over, we didn't deal with it and the Motherwell player had a free header from two yards. After that, their tails were up and they put us under pressure but I couldn't believe how much room their striker had to score

Thomas Hawkins, Balgreen: "We have had three tough away games in the last three weeks and I always felt that this would be the toughest of them. However, we made things much harder for ourselves than we had to by starting the game so badly. We looked so lethargic in the opening 25 minutes and it looked as if Motherwell were capable of scoring every time they went forward. After that initial spell, we settled down a bit and I think that it was quite an even contest in the last hour. Of course, the problem was that we were already 2-0 down by that stage and the comeback never really looked on. I think that all three subs did a better job than the players that they replaced and, hopefully, that will give JJ some food for thought ahead of the game against Hibs.

"We got three points out of three difficult away games and that isn't bad although it is a little disappointing that we have lost two in a row now. A win next week is a must if we want to be in the top six after the split."

John Cooper, Fountainbridge: "That was definitely an afternoon to forget from Hearts. We got off to a nightmare start with the loss of the opening goal inside two minutes and it got even worse.

"They totally deserved their lead at that stage of the game and had we gone in three or four goals behind at half time, we couldn't have complained. I think that Jim Jefferies must have said a few strong words at half time because their was definitely a bit more fight about the team at the start of the second half. The third goal was sloppy but the goal from Templeton got us back into it. We huffed and puffed but never really looked like rescuing anything from the game, although Gary Glen scuffed a great opportunity.

"Had we played with the urgency we showed in the last 20 minutes throughout the 90, it might have been a different story. Hopefully, we will show the same passion from the off next weekend and we can manage to get a win against Hibs."
