Hearts: Your say
JAMBOS have strong views on the Jose Goncalves saga and the task facing Jim Jefferies. . .
John Fraser, Prestonpans: "It is a nonsense that Goncalves is not being considered for selection simply because he wants to move on. Many players – including Darren Barr – will be in a similar position but will continue to be selected by their clubs. As professionals, these players are likely to give maximum effort until the end of their contracts. Judging by his performances this season Goncalves is no exception. We are told that Csaba Laszlo refused to comply with the orders of the hierarchy in the matter and he has suffered the consequences. But his conscience should be clear. He refused to compromise his dignity or morals and also remained loyal to his player."
Alison Ross: "Jose Goncalves is a Hearts player until the end of the season so, if we are paying him, let's play him. We are already paying out too much for players who are not playing."
Jimmy Myers, Gilmerton: "Having witnessed yet another abysmal display from Hearts in a cup semi-final, I am questioning my sanity. Three games in six days and not a save made by any opposing keeper. JJ has a massive job to do."
Jim Ross: "So no trophies but the season is far from over. Just ask the thousands who have paid for their season tickets, as they will still go along to cheer on the Hearts. This will not be lost on JJ."
Michael Knight, Newtongrange: "I'm more than happy with JJ, Billy Brown and Gary Locke in the dugout but one piece is missing and that is wee Robbo as striking coach. JJ wants players who care about the club, not their wages. There are big changes on the way and I'm looking forward to it."
