Were Hearts right to offer Jose Goncalves a new contract worth £13,000 a week?

Steve Murray, East Calder: "I don't think we should have offered Jose such a big contract. It would have been a huge waste of money if he had signed it. We need to use the available money more sensibly."

Ewan Robertson, Cramond: "The club definitely should not be offering that kind of money. If we have imposed a wage cap, we need to stick to that. There shouldn't be any exceptions to that."
