Hamilton looks to put shine on half-century
CRAIG HAMILTON has vowed to mark his 50th Celtic League appearance with a win when Edinburgh tackle second-place Ospreys at Murrayfield tonight.
"I definitely intend that we come out on top in this one because it is a bit of a special milestone to have compiled 50 appearances with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Borders.
"Partly it is down to the extra work coach Andy Robinson has been prepared to put in with me in carrying the ball up hard," said the 29-year-old second row whose pro career started at Newcastle.
Tonight's clash promises to be a record-fest in other areas with goal-kicker Chris Paterson needing seven more points to reach 450 in the league while 14 points would make him the eighth top scorer in competition history.
Meanwhile, on the club front, Watsonian legend Euan Kennedy has warned the forwards need to sharpen up going into a Capital derby with Heriot's at Goldenacre.
'Sonians crashed at home to bottom-place Stirling last week and Kennedy, capped four times from 1983-84, said: "Securing ball in the contact area was where Watsonians lost. No doubt about it."
Edinburgh Accies make six changes from the team which beat Boroughmuir as they head to Stirling. Called up are Tom Brown, Dave Rattray, Stuart Moffat, Michael Campbell, Ed Stuart and Robin Snape.
