Gordon could be ready to return in weeks
SCOTLAND goalkeeper Craig Gordon has handed national team manager George Burley a massive boost after insisting he will be fit for March's crucial World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands.
A chipped bone in the Sunderland shot-stopper's ankle has meant the 26-year-old has played just once in three months.
He said: "Thankfully I'm out of the treatment room now. I'm just starting back on the rehab trail. I'm taking careful steps at the moment. I still have to look after the ankle, but I'm glad to say my comeback is weeks rather than months away."
