Golf: Turner on Scotland duty
CRAIGIELAW'S Jane Turner has been selected for Scotland duty in two of the big stroke-play events on the women's calendar.
She'll join forces with Louise Kenney (Pitreavie) and Laura Murray (Alford) in the team event within the Welsh Open Stroke-Play at Southerndown on May 1-2.
Then, in early June, she will link up with Kenney and Kilmacolm's Megan Briggs in the Irish equivalent at Newlands.
Mortonhall's Rachael Watton has been named as travelling reserve for the Welsh event, while Loretto's Lesley Atkins and Clara Young from North Berwick are in the two teams selected for the SLGA Under 16 Open Stroke-Play Championship at Strathmore next month.
