Golf: Stewart's titles are in jeopardy
DALMAHOY'S Cammy Stewart will face stiff competition when he defends both titles in the Lothians Seniors' Championship at Ratho Park on Monday.
Among the rivals for the man who won both the handicap and scratch prizes 12 months ago is Baberton's Ron Bradly.
"This is the first time I've been eligible," said the 55-year-old, who recently produced a fantastic performance to reach the final in his club championship.
"I'm off one at the moment and can still get it round but I've got no plans at the moment to play on the Scottish seniors' circuit."
Bradly, who has picked up four silver and four bronze medals in the Dispatch Trophy, is out early with Kilspindie's Bob Humble and Ian Printy from Kingsknowe.
By contrast, Stewart is in the last game out at 2.40pm, when his playing partners will be Lindsay Gordon from Turnhouse and West Linton's Bobby Muir.
The field also includes Bathgate's former Scottish Seniors champion John McLean and a strong Duddingston contingent including Iain Stavert, Ian Fraser and Hinton Bootland, who matched his age with a 72 in a club medal earlier in the year.
