Musselburgh Old Course rivals Kevin Wylie and Euan Glen will clash tonight in the quarter-finals of the Harry Lauder golf trophy at Portobello after both came through opening match play stages last night.

Holder John Ralston booked a tie against Liberton’s Kieran Cantley while Stef Walker meets work-mate Jackie O’Donnell.

The other tie features former winner Iain Randall against Mark Bogie.

Those bowing out last night were the host club’s Kenny Craigie, Matthew Craigie, John Williams and Scott Forrest.

Also unable to progress were the Duddingston pair of John Semple and Mark Greenhalgh along with Phil Demarco (Gifford) and Derek McLeod from Monktonhall.
