Scottish trio take on top teenagers
LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR: Three Scots – Kylie Walker, Vikki Laing and Clare Queen – have travelled to Queensland to tee off their 2012 campaign in this week’s Gold Coast RACV Australian Ladies Masters. Walker will be looking to build on her top-50 finish on the LET money-list last season – Laing was 59th – while Queen’s confidence for the new campaign will have been boosted by her successful return to the Qualifying School.
The field at RACV Royal Pines Resort includes teenagers Lexi Thompson (16) and Lydia Ko (14). The talented duo are aiming to emulate Amy Yang, who won the title as a 16-year-old amateur in 2006.
