Numa Gulyanamitta of Thailand shot five birdies and two bogeys at Yalong Bay Golf Club to lead going into the final round of the Sanya Ladies Open in China.
The 23-year-old LPGA rookie’s round of three-under 69 took her to five under par, one clear of Cassandra Kirkland of France.
England’s Holly Aitchison (69) and Australian Sarah Kemp (70) are tied third, two shots off the lead, while seven further players are a stroke further back.
Scotland’s Kylie Walker and Carly Booth both made the cut. Booth’s second-round 71 gave her a two-over total of 146, seven off the lead. Walker is a shot further back on 147 after a 75.
At the the Mizuno Classic in Japan South Korea’s Lee Bo-mee shot an eight-under 64 to take a four-stroke lead. Lee had four birdies on the front nine and added four more after the turn to finish at ten-under 134.
Second-placed Rikako Morita bogeyed three of the final five holes in a 68. American Angela Stanford shot a 71 and was tied for third at four-under with South Korea’s Na Yeon Choi, France’s Karine Icher and overnight co-leader Ayako Uehara of Japan.
