Changing room chat: Lee Westwood: I swear it just slipped out
LEE Westwood has apologised after his mum heard him swearing on live television at last week’s Qatar Masters.
The world No 3 finished 12th behind winner Paul Lawrie and was caught out in his final round. “My mum was the first person on the phone and she said you might want to apologise,” said Westwood.
“I didn’t think that down at four-under-par I would be on TV. It’s amazing how sensitive these microphones are.”
Westwood tweeted: “Sorry about swearing on the 16th tee. Wash my mouth out!”
