Golf: Record round
SCOTT JOHNSTON set a new course record at Prestonfield with a superb 63, smashing the previous record, which had stood for five years, by two shots.
His round got going when he chipped in for an eagle at the third and then added birdies at the fourth and fifth in racing out in 30.
The only blemish on the card was a bogey on 12 but he birdied the short 13th and then both the 16th and 18th to put the seal on a contender for one of the best rounds so far this year on the Capital circuit.
