Golf: Hibs star answers caddy call
HIBS star Ian Murray enjoyed the experience of seeing Scotland's top home-based pros at close hand at Gleneagles last week.
Murray caddied for close friend Ally MacKenzie, the Duddingston assistant, in the opening two rounds of the Gleneagles Scottish Championship over the PGA Centenary Course. "It's a lot different to what I'm used to on a football pitch as a professional golfer is out there on his own but it was good fun," said Murray, who joined Craigmillar Park earlier this year. He added: "I've played golf for a long time but need to get some lessons off Ally – if I played a course like this one I'd probably find it impossible."
