Golf: Gallacher is a real Asset
LOTHIANS golfer Stephen Gallacher, who signed off a five-week run on the European Tour by making the cut in Qatar and Dubai, has received a further boost by clinching a new sponsorship.
The former Dunhill Links champion now has Alan Steel Asset Management as his main sponsor and is delighted to have linked up with a company in Linlithgow, where he lives.
"I am a keen golfer and there are a few others who play golf in the office and we got to know Stephen after meeting him at the nearby golf range (Kingsfield]," said Steve Forbes, managing director at Alan Steel Asset Management.
"Stephen is a wonderful talent who we are delighted to be working with and I know clients will be excited at the prospect of playing golf with him.
"He is also a very well connected individual and will be a wonderful ambassador for our company."
Gallacher, who made his return to the European Tour in South Africa last month after missing the second half of last season due to illness, said: "I know the deal will be good for both Alan Steel Asset Management and myself, but I also hope it will be good for the local area more generally."
Alan Steel Asset Management has supported local show jumpers, windsurfers and taekwondo specialists in the past.
