Glasgow break home attendance record
GLASGOW Warriors broke their official attendance record on Friday afternoon with 6,665 supporters descending on Firhill to witness the 25-20 victory over inter-city rivals Edinburgh.
Although the Warriors still have five games to go until they can determine their overall average attendance for 2008/09, which currently stands at 3,540, this latest attendance record has resulted in the Warriors so far achieving a 48 per cent increase in crowd numbers, from 2,386 last season.
Glasgow Warriors chief executive Ian Riddoch, said: "Friday's match was another milestone achievement for the club and I'm pleased that so many supporters attended the game."
