Gavin debut set for February

FRANKIE GAVIN is relishing life as a professional boxer – and can't wait to test himself when he makes his debut early next year.

The 2007 world amateur champion has turned professional after his Olympic heartache when weight issues forced his withdrawal from the Beijing Games. Having joined the paid ranks alongside former amateur team-mates Billy Joe Saunders and middleweight gold medallist James DeGale, the 23-year-old is preparing for his professional debut in February.
