Forfar need to 'get a grip' when Ayr visit
Forfar's pursuit of a promotion play-off place has taken a knock recently - with only one win in six games - but that win came against tonight's opponents Ayr United and assistant manager Ian Campbell is determined his side get back to winning ways with their third triumph of the season against the Somerset Park side.
"We need to get a grip as all the teams below us are fighting away to overtake us," said Campbell. "We have been under-performing recently but the game at Somerset Park a couple of weeks ago was our best performance and a repeat of that would be fine."
Midfielder Martyn Fotheringham should return for Forfar but they have injury concerns over goalkeeper Scott Gallacher and striker Paul McQuade. Ayr have defender Martyn Campbell available again after hamstring trouble, but Dean Keenan remains out with a knee injury.
Brechin City, 18 points behind Livingston, need to defeat a resurgent Airdrie United to keep the faintest of title hopes alive. The Glebe Park men are without injured defender Paul McLean and midfielder Charlie King, while Jamie Redman is a doubt.
Airdrie, on a five-game unbeaten run, welcome the experienced Paul Lovering back from suspension but former Dundee United youngster Craig Hill is out with a fractured cheekbone.
