Queens examine Airdrie switch
• QUEEN of the South chairman David Rae admits the club are looking at the possibility of playing Uefa Cup games at Airdrie's New Broomfield.
The Doonhamers have qualified for Europe's second competition after reaching the Scottish Cup final where they will play Rangers on 24 May.
Rae said: "If we need to play a preliminary round we could possibly play at Palmerston Park but a Uefa delegate would probably have to come and asses our ground.
"It's certainly not correct to say we are going to play all the games up at New Broomfield, although we are looking at football grounds on the south side of Glasgow so our fans don't have that far to travel. I would think we would play at another ground if we got into the Uefa Cup proper."
Two-way fight for Shielfield post
• THE choice for Berwick Rangers manager appears to now be a straight fight between ex-Hearts and Scotland defender Paul Ritchie and the much travelled David Bingham.
