SPL - BY CLUB
ABERDEEN
Defender Richard Foster joined Rangers last night on a season-long loan deal, with the Pittodrie club taking Ibrox striker Andrius Velicka on a season's loan in return. Manager Mark McGhee was also credited with having an interest in unattached left back Grant Basey.
CELTIC
The capture of Anthony Stokes from Hibs in a 1.2 million transfer was the biggest piece of business in the SPL on the final day of activity before the window closed last night. Reports that Celtic were interested in Newcastle defender Steven Taylor came to nothing.
DUNDEE UNITED
Former Hearts and Aberdeen player Scott Severin was signed on a two-year deal, while the club resisted further overtures from Middlesbrough for Craig Conway. Francisco Sandaza and Jeno Myrie-Williams were released, while Damian Casalinuovo joined Hamilton.
HAMILTON
Dundee United striker Damian Casalinuovo penned a two-year deal at 11pm, while 17-year-old Celtic striker John Marsden was brought in on loan to play in the under-19 team.
HIBERNIAN
Out went Anthony Stokes to Celtic, in came Ghana international defender Francis Dickoh from Utrecht and another defender, Jonathan Grounds, on loan from Middlesbrough until January.
HEARTS
No activity, other than five under-19 players going out on loan to local clubs.
INVERNESS
No activity.
KILMARNOCK
Finland internationalist Alexei Eremenko, an attacking midfielder, signed on a season-long loan from Ukraine club Metalist Kharkiv. Killie were also credited with an interest in Rangers striker Andrius Velicka.
MOTHERWELL
A bid from Swansea for centre-half Mark Reynolds was turned down by the Fir Park club. Three players went on loan to Albion Rovers - Steven Meechan, Steven Lawless and Peter Innes, while Michael Fraser was released.
RANGERS
Defender Richard Foster arrived on a one-season loan deal from Aberdeen, with striker Andrius Velicka going on loan at Pittodrie.
