DAILY RECORD: Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has confirmed that he made an enquiry about snapping up Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson.
The Record report that nothing has been decided, but that McLeish still admires the troubled player and says he's "interested".
Van Persie for Man Utd?
THE SUN: Manchester United are monitoring Arsenal star Robin van Persie.
Tevez future still uncertain
DAILY TELEGRAPH: The English champions are also keen to draw a line under the Tevez saga one way or another, as it seems increasingly unlikely that they will be able to sign either Karin Benzema from Lyon or David Villa from Valencia.
Local rivals Manchester City are potential suitors of the Argentine striker, with Chelsea distancing themselves from a bid.
Mascherano for Barca?
THE GUARDIAN: The agent for Liverpool's Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano has held talks with Spanish giants over a possible transfer.
Liverpool have yet to receive an official enquiry from the European champions, but Mascherano is reportedly keen on the move.
Pennant for Man City?
THE GUARDIAN: Another Liverpool star, Jermaine Pennant, has emerged as a possible target for Manchester City.
The player's agent refused to comment.
Ribry saga continues
DAILY STAR: Manchester United and Chelsea have been put on alert after Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer revealed the club will listen to offers for Franck Ribry.
The German club had previously said that their French star was not for sale.
Ronaldo ups demands
DAILY MAIL: Cristiano Ronaldo last night demanded more money from Real Madrid before he completes his world record 80m transfer from Manchester United.
Real Madrid deny fax claim
VARIOUS: Real Madrid have denied media reports suggesting they have faxed English clubs a list of players that are available for transfer.
It has been reported that Madrid have contacted a number of Premier League outfits to make them aware of which players are up for sale as the Spanish giants look to make room for the host of new signings they are set to make this summer.
