THE SCOTSMAN: Landry N'Guemo believes Celtic will seriously diminish their prospects of regaining the SPL title this season if they sell any of their first-team players over the next 11 days. With the closure of the transfer window on 31 August approaching, speculation has intensified over the future of several key members of Celtic manager Tony Mowbray's squad.

Jefferies confirms there's no way back for Locke at Killie

THE SCOTSMAN: Jim Jefferies fears Kilmarnock's loss will be another club's gain after being told there is no way back for Gary Locke. Their former captain retired at the end of last season and the 34-year-old Locke was set to remain at Rugby Park in a coaching capacity to support Jefferies and his assistant Billy Brown.
